Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Ready Golf Pools (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including pool administrators (“Admins”) who create and manage pools, and participants who submit picks and view leaderboards.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Service

Ready Golf Pools is a web-based platform that enables users to create and participate in golf tournament pools. The Service provides the following features:

• Pool creation and management with configurable scoring formats
• Pick submission via shareable invite links – no account required for participants
• Live leaderboard updates with scores sourced from third-party data providers
• Automatic score calculation based on pool-specific rules

The Service is designed for entertainment and social purposes only. Ready Golf Pools is not a gambling platform, sportsbook, or wagering service of any kind. See Section 7 for a detailed disclaimer.

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18 years of age, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, particularly with respect to any transactions involving payment.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 in violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will take steps to remove their information and terminate their access to the Service.

4. Account Responsibilities

Admins

Admins create pools by signing in with an account. As an Admin, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• Managing your pool settings, entries, and deadlines
• Paying any applicable fees associated with your pool
• Ensuring your pool is used in compliance with these Terms

Participants

Participants join pools via invite links and do not need an account. As a Participant, you are responsible for:

• Providing an accurate name when submitting picks
• Keeping your edit link secure – anyone with your edit link can modify your picks
• Submitting your picks before the pool deadline

General Conduct

All users agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to access or interact with the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, other users’ accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Service
• Abuse, harass, or submit offensive content through the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure

5. Pricing and Payments

Ready Golf Pools is free for pools with 1 to 4 entries. Pools with 5 or more entries require a one-time payment of $5 per pool.

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card information.
• The Admin of the pool is responsible for payment. Participants are never charged.
• Pricing changes will only affect pools created after the change takes effect. Pools already created and paid for will not be subject to price increases.

6. Refund Policy

We offer full refunds within 30 days of payment, no questions asked. After 30 days, refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifies for a refund:

• Accidental or duplicate purchase
• Tournament cancellation or postponement that renders the pool unusable
• Technical failure on our part that prevented the pool from functioning as intended

Does not qualify for a refund:

• Dissatisfaction with pick results or tournament outcomes
• A completed tournament where the pool was used as intended
• Abuse patterns, including creating pools solely to request refunds

7. No Gambling Disclaimer

Ready Golf Pools is not a gambling service, sportsbook, or wagering platform. The Service does not accept, facilitate, or process bets or wagers of any kind.

The $5 pool fee is a software service fee that provides access to pool management features for larger groups. It is not a bet, entry stake, buy-in, or wager. No portion of any fee paid to Ready Golf Pools is pooled, redistributed, or paid out as winnings to any user.

The Service does not:

• Accept bets or wagers between users
• Set, publish, or use odds for wagering purposes
• Pay out winnings, prizes, or any form of monetary reward to participants
• Operate as a daily fantasy sports contest with entry fees and prize pools
• Facilitate the exchange of money between participants

Where odds data is displayed on the Service, it is used solely for the purpose of assigning golfer tiers and pricing within pool formats. This data is informational and is not used for gambling purposes.

Any side arrangements, wagers, or monetary exchanges between pool participants outside the Service are solely the responsibility of those individuals. Ready Golf Pools does not endorse, facilitate, or assume any liability for gambling activity of any kind.

8. Intellectual Property

Our Intellectual Property

The Ready Golf Pools name, logo, visual design, and underlying software are the intellectual property of Ready Golf Pools. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission.

Third-Party Content

The Service displays data and content from third-party sources, including golf scores, tournament information, golfer photographs, and player statistics. This content is the property of its respective owners (including ESPN, the PGA Tour, and other providers) and is used under applicable terms. We do not claim ownership of third-party content.

User Content

Content you provide through the Service – such as pool names and entry names – remains yours. By submitting content, you grant Ready Golf Pools a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and store that content as necessary to operate and improve the Service.

9. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Scores, leaderboard positions, and tournament data displayed on the Service are sourced from third-party APIs and data providers. This data is provided on an “as-is” basis and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.

Ready Golf Pools does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of any score or tournament data. Official results from the PGA Tour and the relevant tournament governing body are the authoritative source for all tournament outcomes.

We may, at our discretion, correct errors in scoring or leaderboard data, but we are under no obligation to do so. Score discrepancies do not constitute grounds for a refund unless they result from a technical failure of the Service itself.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ready Golf Pools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Ready Golf Pools in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) five dollars ($5.00).

Without limiting the foregoing, Ready Golf Pools is not liable for:

• Inaccurate, delayed, or missing scores or tournament data
• Service downtime, outages, or interruptions, whether planned or unplanned
• Unauthorized access to your account or data resulting from your failure to secure your credentials or edit links
• Failures of third-party services, including payment processors, data providers, and hosting infrastructure

11. Service Availability and Termination

We strive to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Admins may delete their account at any time by contacting us. Participants may request removal of their entries and associated data by contacting us at support@readygolfpools.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any user’s access to the Service, with or without notice, for any of the following reasons:

• Violation of these Terms
• Abusive behavior, including submitting offensive content or harassing other users
• Use of the Service for illegal activity
• Any conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service, its users, or third parties

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

For material changes – such as modifications to pricing, liability, or data practices – we will provide notice on the Service prior to the changes taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Ready Golf Pools operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@readygolfpools.com. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter within 30 days.

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action, class arbitration, or other representative proceeding. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Ready Golf Pools.
